the barlow is an outdoor market district in downtown sebastopol. local food, wine, beer, and shopping - what more could you ask for.
our favorite spots:
CROOKED GOAT BREWING: welcome event is here!
FERN BAR: our absolute favorite restaurant
THE FARMERS WIFE: best sandwiches, if you like tuna melts you must try theirs!
PAX WINE: wine + charcuterie boards, no better combo
BLUE RIDGE KITCHEN: for the seafood lovers - a little fancier but a great spot for dinner one night!
TAYLOR LAIN COFFEE: addie spent a straight month here studying for her nursing boards exam back in the day, so she can definitely attest to it having some good (and strong) coffee
GOLDFINCH: not technically in The Barlow but just down the street - an incredible spot that offers shareable plates + craft cocktails
sebastopol is just inland to the beautiful coast of california, so you should definitely check that out while you are here.
this will be the closest beach (30 minute drive) to sebastopol. addie's mom + luis spend most free mornings walking their three dogs here! a beautiful, expansive beach with plenty of room to lay out in the sun, get your steps in or take a cold swim in the pacific.
for a great coastal town this is the place to go. there is no beach in bodega bay, but plenty of beautiful outlooks along the coast.
addie's favorite place to visit when she's home is Bodega Bay Trailhead. it's a nature preserve with a few easy paths to explore. bring a sandwich from the farmers daughter and enjoy the views for lunch if you can!
point reyes is definitely worth it if you are up for a longer drive. the national seashore has a ton of beaches, hikes and little towns sprinkled all around.
the point reyes lighthouse is a stunning place to visit with breathtaking views of the pacific. make sure to stop by point reyes station on your way for lunch + coffee!
tomales bay is known for their fresh oysters. come visit one of our two favorite restaurants listed below, both in the most beautiful setting right on the water.

as you can probably tell, most of our favorite spots are either in the barlow or on tomales bay. here are a few more that are scattered around marin county + sonoma
if you have ever visited addie's hometown, you have had sol food. truly the BEST place for fresh puerto rican cuisine. it's located in san rafael, which is about half way between san francisco + sebastopol, so a great spot to stop on your way north from the airport
a well known spot with their flagship brewery in petaluma, worth a stop if you stay nearby!
amazing thai restaurant, can't go wrong with anything you order
you are in wine country, the options are truly endless.
this is our favorite place to go wine tasting, just a short 30 minute drive from sebastopol in healdsburg. it's much more casual than the typical napa vineyards which is a plus to us :) there are so many (over 60!) vineyards to choose from, but our favorite are listed below:
you really can't go wrong with which vineyards you go to. we recommend packing a picnic and spend the day in this beautiful area! the dry creek general store is the closest option for lunch and is delicious, but often has a line. if you want to be super prepared we recommend grabbing some food on the way.
**most vineyards require/strongly recommend reservations**
