Adam and Raya had always known of each other and attended the same high school, however they never really communicated or hung out during this time of their lives. The end of Raya's high school year is when Adam and Raya first started talking and hanging out. Adam's infamous line that sparked their relationship was "You still going to OU?". Little did they know, this question (he already knew the answer, just wanted an excuse to talk to Raya) would be the start of their forever. From this point on, they talked and hung out non-stop throughout the summer of 2019, until Adam finally asked Raya to be his girlfriend (only took him 4 months).

So to answer Adam's infamous question, yes Raya was still going to OU. Adam also had plans of attending OU his sophomore year of college. As college continued, their relationship only grew closer. They were constantly hanging out whether it was at the library, Adam's apartment, or in class (we had no idea we had 2 classes together until they both showed up in class at the same time lol). Toward the end of Adam's sophomore year he was accepted into OU's nursing program back in Lawton. This meant they were going to have to be a long distance relationship (1.5 hours away hahah). They still managed to hang out each weekend whether Adam came to Norman or Raya went back to Lawton. Soon after that, Raya was also accepted into OU's nursing program in Lawton. Come May of 2022, Adam graduated nursing school and Raya was about to start her final year of nursing school.

Fast forward to January of 2023, Adam was working as an RN and Raya was preparing to graduate in a few months. Little did Raya know, Adam had already spoken to Holli and asked for her blessing. Holli said yes (barely). After he got the green light, he started his master plan. This plan consisted of purchasing a ring, planning a trip, getting a photographer to take pics of the special day, making sure Raya had her nails done (she would kill Adam if she didn't) and many more small details to make this day perfect. Since Raya was in her final year of nursing school, she thought it would be fun to take a trip on her last spring break with Adam. They chose to go to Kansas City since it was just a drive away with fun stuff to do there. While they were in Kansas City, Raya got sick out of nowhere. Adam was starting to get worried because this was not apart of his master plan lol and he had planned for the engagement to be the next day. Being super worried about the plan, Adam asked Raya if she was able to tough it out to take some “surprise pictures”. Of course Raya said she would, even though she still was not feeling well. During these “surprise pictures” Adam got down on one knee and asked Raya to marry him. On March 13, 2023, Raya said YES!

Fast forward a few months, Raya graduated from nursing school and got accepted into OU's DNP program. In May, Adam and Raya purchased two rental properties together in Lawton. A month later, Adam and Raya purchased their first home together in OKC to live in. To complete their purchases and new life in OKC, they knew they needed one more thing. Adam and Raya got a puppy. Now they cannot imagine their life without Snoopy!
