We have known each other since about 1986, since we both attended Kentucky Country Day School. We were a few years apart, but since Adam was the same year as Lee’s older brother, Paul, we interacted occasionally through the late 80s and 90s, until Adam graduated in 1998.

Adam spent his time after college attending graduate school and working in Chicago and Las Vegas before returning home to Louisville. Lee spent her time attending law school and working in Washington, DC (with a brief stint in Denver), before also returning home to Louisville. At some point between 2005 and 2020, Adam and Lee became Facebook friends…

In 2020, Adam was living downtown at the Omni, and posted a photo on Facebook with a GeoTag of the Omni. While she wasn’t living downtown at the moment, Lee’s parents had lived in a condo downtown for many years, and she was familiar with and loved the area. When Adam posted the photo, Lee sent him a message along the lines of “I love the Omni! How do you like it?” That led to Facebook messaging, which led to text messaging, which led to a first date! The sunset pictures are from our very first date.

And the rest, as they say, is history!
