I was sitting at my desk one sunny spring day when there was a small knock on my office door, and a co-worker of mine sheepishly entered with a question that, to this day, I will never forget. "Adam, can I ask you a question?" There was some light banter over the semantics of the fact that her question was about asking me a question, so she has proven herself correct; she was able to ask me a question! A few eye rolls later, I was finally told to shut up and listen. It turns out another co-worker of ours had a second job working with a lovely woman who moved into Northern Virginia not too long ago. Would I be interested in going out with her on a blind date? I said, "Why the f@#$ not?" I got her phone number, and being the elder millennial I am, I decided to call her first. Jessica was so impressed by getting a phone call she forgot to answer the phone or, more realistically, saw a 512 number and thought..."Yeah, I'm not picking that up." Either way, I left a message, and we chatted for a bit afterward. Discussing typical things like "Who the heck are you?" "How did you get my number?" "Did you know how expensive grapes are?" and "Farmville? Like that dumb game that destroyed Facebook timelines for a few years?" When it came time for our first date, we settled on an old cliché Dinner and a Movie. We ate Tex-Mex and watched the Hangover 3 as I wooed her with my lack of talking. We soon went from seeing each other once a month to every other week, to every week, to most of the week, to the point in which we were like, "Should we just move in together? This area is REALLY too expensive to be paying for two rents." And as years went by and adventures came and went, we decided to make the most important decision in our lifetimes..."I think this dog's name should be Calvin... It just fits!" After all these years, I wouldn't have changed a thing. Jessica and I are thrilled you are coming to celebrate this next adventure with us!

Richmond, VA, the capital of the state, holds a special place to the bride since she grew up outside of the city. Richmond, VA is about a 45 minute drive to the wedding venue. but has plenty to offer in scenic walks and yummy food &amp; drinks. Some of our favorites are Joe's Inn the Fan, Secret Sandwich Society, and Hardywood Brewery.
