Our Wedding

Adam and Amanda met in the early days of high school 21 years ago. Having recently moved from England to Canada shortly before they met, Adam made a distinct impression on Amanda as the new English kid who wasn't afraid to break the early teen , cool-kid status quo by actually bringing a present to her birthday party that summer. Through high school, their friendship proved to growstronger as they saw each other through all the of teenage ups and downs: the high-spirit abandon of social events, the stresses of misunderstood teachers, peers and exams, and thefiguring out of what was supposed to come next. After graduation Amanda moved out to Kelowna, BC, to try on a new scene. Also looking for a fresh start, it didn’t take Adam long to follow her out west as one of her closest friends. They didn’t stay ‘just friends’ for very long.&nbsp; After 5 years in Kelowna, Adam and Amanda moved back to Ontario in 2012 where they have since continued to grow an incredibly loving and supportive partnership. In June 2019 they welcomed their son Kyle into the world as the first member of their growing family, to be joined by their daughter Ainsley in January 2021. Adam and Amanda have dedicated themselves to the love and parenting of these two wonderful (and boisterous) young beings, and even through the most challenging of times, proved to be unwavering and deeply devoted supports for each other.&nbsp; Adam and Amanda have been set on spending the rest of their lives together for years though Adam’s proposal on October 16 of last year was ultimately experienced by Amanda as the very happiest of surprises with the greatest tears of joy.&nbsp; We so look forward to celebrating our love story and the beginning of the next chapter with you!&nbsp;

Tara has been one of Amanda’s closest friends for 20 years. She is often referenced as her soul sister. Tara and Amanda have travelled together and have shared countless memories. Tara has always been a constant support for Amanda and Adam and their family.

Rich has become one of Adam's closest friends. Rich and Adam have bonded over their British roots, work life, love of soccer and even greater love of drinking beer and having a good time. Rich and Adam share the same passion for their family and are greatly involved in each other’s family life. 

Richard Smith

Patty and Amanda met in grade 8 when their friendship began immediately. They have never ending memories, from car rides and singing, to dancing and having the best time together. Patty is one of Amanda’s oldest and dearest friends.

Patrycja Housley

Dave and Adam have become very close friends over the last 10 years. They met through work, travelled on jobs and instantly connected. They have shared an endless amount of laughs and beers together. They now bond over being fathers and look forward to when their boys get up to the same shenanigans as they do.

Amy and Amanda met through their love of gymnastics. They began coaching together when they were 12 years old, planning lots of summer camps and weekend gymnastic classes. Their love for both the sport and working with kids created a beautiful life long friendship. Amy has always been one of Amanda’s biggest supporters in achieving all of her life long goals.

Sean and Adam met 20 years ago and their friendship started with walks home together. Their memories include high school shenanigans, post secondary adventures in Ottawa, starting their future careers in construction and management together. They have travelled across Canada and have had endless laughs and good times together. Sean also holds a very special part in Amanda’s life, he is her oldest friend. They met in kindergarten and have always been close friends and have been apart of each other’s life for the last 30 years.

Jackie and Amanda only met a few years ago and they instantly became close friends. They have already done so many things together in the short 5 years of their friendship that they are constantly looking to the future of building many more memories. Their love of winery tours, girls nights, double dates with the boys and hanging out with family are their favourite things to do together.

Glenn is Adam's half brother and someone who Adam has always looked up to. When Adam was born Glenn instantly took to being his big brother. He spent many of Adam's growing years taking care of him and has watched him grow into the man he is today. Through major moves from England to Canada, Glenn has always been someone Adam could count on.

Amaryn is Amanda’s  cousin and though they are connected by blood, Amaryn's importance in Amanda's life runs much deeper than genetics. Amanda and Amaryn have had a bond from the time that Amaryn  was three years old. When Amanda first moved to Kelowna they were not only cousins, but also became new roommates and best friends. Even with a large age gap the two have always been close and have shared some amazing memories together.

Adam is honoured to have Kyle as his Groomsboy on this very special day. Kyle and Adam share a very special bond. Kyle is the man that forever changed Adam and made him a Dad. Adam takes his role as a father very seriously and dedicates his life to guiding, supporting and loving Kyle in every way. This father and son duo are like no other. They spend every day together and they love laughing, playing, building and spending as much time together as possible.  Adam is so proud of his little man and can not wait to have him by his side  on their wedding day.

Ainsley is Adam and Amanda’s beautiful and lively little girl. Ainsley has forever changed their lives and they love watching her grow into an adventurous, loving and kind young being. They are excited to have her as the lovely and ‘unpredictable’ flower girl for their wedding day. Ainsley never ceases to amaze them in her outgoing personality. Both Adam and Amanda are very proud to have their daughter be a part of their special day.

North Beach Provincial Park

Gillingham Brewing Company is an independent, family owned, batch brewery. Visit their seasonal beer garden and taproom for sampling of their award-winning selections paired with lunch by local Kaleidoscope Catering.

Serving up super delicious shared taco/mexican cuisine plates, this spot is a great place to head for lunch. Amanda can verify having eaten here with some of her bridal party members on the first visit to the venue. The entire venue (excepting the fish taco) is gluten free. Please note that no reservations are offered, so its a walk-in only kind of spot. Well worth taking your chances though.

GOOD Place is a healthy lunch counter, organic grocer, fresh juice and smoothie bar. GOOD Place offers all-day breakfast options, and boasts vegan and gluten free baked goods.&nbsp;

The Drake Devonshire Hotel in Wellington is the newest expansion of the Drake Devonshire in Toronto. This location boasts a newly modelled restaurant and historic inn on the waterfront with private beach area access. Reservations are notoriously hard to come by, so if you'd like to make a visit here for lunch, we recommend booking well in advance.
