Beautiful greenhouse that also hosts a farmers market on the weekends (11a - 2p). We love going for a stroll whenever we are in the area, for a nice mental reset among plant life. Approx. 1 hour from lodging.

Gardens so romantic they'll take your breath away. A must see in the area. Open 9a - 5p daily. Approx. 20 minutes from lodging.

Take a trip to the east end of Long Island to see the historical lighthouse. October is the season where seals and dolphins can be seen off the coast, and the striped bass are so plentiful they are jumping out of the water. Approx. 2 hours from lodging - but worth the drive if you have an extended stay here!

Take a walk through the Big Apple! There are so many things to do. If you've never been, there are sights to see - the Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Times Square, the Freedom Tower and 9/11 Memorial, Central Park. If you are looking for a more authentic experience, take a walk down the west coast of Manhattan, where there are always events and parks to relax and people watch. Ride a CitiBike through the heart of NYC, stop at a local sandwich shop, grab a slice of NY style pizza, the world is yours. If you are into shopping, you can't miss out on 5th Avenue. Approx. 40 minutes to Central Manhattan from lodging.
