Adam and Katie met during their freshman year of college in a math class. They exchanged contact information to help each other with math assignments. From then on, they continued to have classes together every semester. Over time, they became familiar faces and began sitting together in class. However, it wasn't until senior year that Adam reached out to Katie and asked her on a date.


On the night of their first date, Adam had to work until 8 pm. They ended up going to different Applebee's, and Katie accidentally hit a parked car while pulling into a parking spot. Despite the rocky start, they had a great time.


Their second date was almost as eventful. Adam asked Katie if she would like to go up to his Aunt Jan and Aunt Steph's cottage. After a 2-hour drive to what seemed like the middle of nowhere, Katie was sure that she was going to die. However, when they turned the corner, a beautiful community of cottages on McLaren Lake opened up, and Katie felt at ease again. They had a wonderful day of swimming, kayaking, jet skiing, food, and great company.


On their way home, Katie started to cry, which surprised Adam, but if you know Katie this shouldn't shock you, Katie was crying because she had started to develop feelings for Adam. Adam felt the same way, and they talked the whole way home about what they both wanted in life and for the future. Now, they are about to live the life that they talked about on that very day.
