Kristen Nicole Jeffers, was born and raised in Litchfield, Illinois. 
Adam Christopher Ellis, was born in Virginia and raised in St Libory, Illinois. 


And by fate they both ended up working at HSHS St Francis hospital, in the peak of a pandemic, on the midnight shift, in the ER, where they first met 3 years ago in 2020. 


Adam made the first move - and sparked a conversation by jokingly poking fun at Kristen’s shoes and how she doesn’t wear shoes with the tie shoe laces, only slip on shoes.(Which is still something she does to this day) 
Shortly after, they became friends on Facebook, and from there on its history. 

They talked daily. And quickly fell in love. They both learned that they were interested in quite a few of the same things. Video games, Pokémon, red velvet cake, fried chicken legs, and so so much more. 

Throughout the years, another thing that Adam had learned is that Kristen loves all things Fall. Especially pumpkin patches. For the third year in a row they went to Eckerts together to pick pumpkins and when Kristen was looking for the perfect pumpkin, something even more perfect happened…


Adam grabbed her hand firmly and went down on one knee and proposed. 
And without a single doubt, Kristen said YES.
