Most people have heard the story of how we met because it truly is one of our favorite stories to tell! For those of you that haven’t heard it yet, Adam and I went to college together at Tarleton State University. He worked at the campus recreation facility with my roommate. We are pretty sure we crossed paths before, one of those being him telling someone to kick me out of the intramural field for having my dog on the turf. Let’s just say he received some ugly looks that day. We did not truly meet until our Senior year. The long story involves him trying to get my number through our mutual friends but I denied him because cause he was a stranger! My roommate at the time, Mak, was practically begging me to give him a chance. I finally gave in and told her I would just follow him back on social media. I did not think anything would come of it after that. A few months later I went out with Mak and her work friends. After being there for a few minutes, Adam ended up walking into the bar we were at. We waited around an hour for our friends to introduce us, but no one did! He finally introduced himself and we immediately clicked. We somehow got the bright idea to invite everyone back to my house after the bar. Once I got back home, Mak had accidentally broken our back door knob. I tried to fix it but was struggling. Adam was the first person I saw walk into my house and I just blurted out, “Hey, are you handy?” He will never let me live that one down. He spent the next few minutes trying to help me fix it, but he told me he needed a part and that he would come back the next day. I later found out that was just his excuse to see me again. When he came over the next day to fix the door knob, we ended up talking for 3 hours straight. He agreed to come over the next day to help me clean my hot tub. Who offers to do that?! Adam ended up coming over every single day that week. He had me hooked since the very first night we met. The rest is history!
