Adam & Amber met in 2013 at the annual Saint X vs. Trinity game. From that day on, their love continued to grow. They made their relationship official at Amber’s senior prom a few months later.
Once Amber started college, it was difficult working around her studies and field hockey schedule but they found time where they could. Adam spent many nights quizzing Amber before exams and making appearances at her hockey games.
Their time apart became even more difficult when Amber moved to Lexington to earn her Masters and Doctorate at the University of Kentucky. They would sometimes go weeks without seeing each other but they were always sure to talk on the phone every night - even if it was only to say a quick ‘Goodnight and I love you’.
Adam graduated from the University of Louisville during COVID, which was a difficult time to start a career in sales. While managing his first full-time job and living in different cities, Adam planned on how to begin the next stage of life together.
Following their family’s New Years Eve tradition, Adam thought about his wish and prediction for 2023. He knew that this would be the year he’d propose, and that’s when the idea hit him! He decided to write on his prediction card, “Amber will say yes ;)”. The following year, he coordinated with their families to make sure that he would be the last person to read out his prediction and wish for the year. Everyone was surprised, especially Amber! It was a wonderful night of celebration, food, and games to follow (especially the glow in the dark capture the flag at 3am).
Now they are looking forward to celebrating the start of their next chapter with you all! So, with that….
Will you remember the 21st night of September?
