Vancouver:


Bike or walk the seawall. Start at science world skytrain station. Either go left towards Granville Island , kits beach or go right toward English bay, 3rd beach. 45min - 50 min bike ride one way.


Bike rentals for Stanley park seawall trail. Stop at 3rd beach for a swim, lunch or bring your own beers/wine.

Bloedel conservatory.

Beautiful indoor paradise. $10

Tropical flowers, birds, and butterfly's.

Located in a beautiful park. Queen Elizabeth Park.

Pitch and putt course, frizz golf course, pickle ball, tennis, rose garden.

Gastown: old Vancouver downtown area.

Lots of small shops, restaurants, pubs.

Walk from Waterfront SkyTrain station to get there. Famous steamclock goes off on start of every hour.


Live music at night: Gastown:

Guilt & Co. Amazing live music every night. 7pm & 9pm shows. Around $10.

Small chill place in the basement of a restaurant.

Commercial Drive: Little Italy, tons of cafes, restaurants, funky shops, chill bars.

Walk south and relax with your own beer at Trout Lake.


Kishimoto sushi

Busy place, a bit pricey but very good sushi place.


Fire pizza:

Cheap, quick pizza by the slice but really good.

Main St. Lots of restaurants.

East is East,

Afghanistan food. Live traditional music 7pm.

Around $35 a person.



Wreckbeach:

Nude beach, 300 stairs down to the ocean. Beautiful sunsets. Food vendors and booze to buy from locals. Buses will get you close to beach access. About 15 min walk from bus loop to trail down to beach. Take a floaty to relax for a while. Only Vancouver beach you can use floaties at. No lifeguards. No taking photos! Of yourself or beach goers.

Bus takes 45min to get here. Driving is faster. There is a parkade close by. $12 for day pass.





Burnaby, BC


Barnet Marine park, beautiful ocean beach.

Crabbing allowed with license here. Lots of parking. Great place for picnic or swimming.


Burnaby MTN rose garden. Free. Easy walking trails with a nice view of ocean and downtown Vancouver. Lots of free parking.


Deer Lake. Nice easy walking trails around lake. Kayak and pedal boat rentals.


Christine Sinclair recreation centre:

Very close to wedding venue.

Indoor and outdoor stuff.

Anton's pasta bar:

Amazing food, huge portion! Very busy.

2 best ones are the Creole with spinach noodles, and the Indiana with whole wheat noodle. 2 dinner sizes will feed 4 people. Order for pick up and take it to a park or beach to enjoy.




Richmond: all of these places are along one main road.


Richmond Country farms:

Great place for fresh local produce, cheap prices.

Winery, sunflower and flower fields to explore $13 entrance. Great for photos.

International Buddhist Temple.

Amazing place to visit. The statues and architecture are stunning. Highly recommend checking out. Donations are encouraged but it is free.


Lavender Land: $13

Huge field of lavender to take photos, viewing area of how they produce lavender oil and other products, gift shop selling all kinds of lavender products including lavender ice cream.

Steveston, fisherman's wharf.

Fish market, lots of restaurants specializing in seafood.

Fresh fish, shrimp etc is very expensive here but it's worth just walking around and seeing it.
