On a typical Wednesday night, October 10, 2018, Kylie found herself searching for a seat at youth ministry. As she scanned the room, Adam noticed her and, with a friendly smile, offered her the seat next to him, scooting over to make space. They shared that seat for the rest of the evening, and by the end of the night, Kylie realized she recognized the cute boy beside her.

In true 13-year-old fashion, Kylie tracked down Adam’s Instagram and sent him a Direct Message. She thanked him for his kindness and asked if he remembered where they might have met before. To their surprise, they quickly uncovered not only that they attended the same high school, but they had also attended 4th grade together! That very night they had met, Adam went home and excitedly told his mom about Kylie.

From that moment on, Adam and Kylie began to spend more time together, often sharing lunch at school. Their connection grew stronger, and it wasn’t long before they both knew they wanted to be more than just friends. Adam, mindful of their budding relationship, urged Kylie to tell her parents before the year ended. True to form, Kylie waited until the last possible moment, confessing her crush on Adam to her parents at 11:59 p.m., with 20 seconds until the ball dropped, on New Year’s Eve.

Though Adam had to wait until he turned 16 to officially date, their feelings for each other only deepened. In 2019, Adam asked Kylie to Winterball, and she eagerly said yes. Before the dance, Adam met Kylie's dad, and the two families began to intertwine. Then, in March 2020, just two days after his sixteenth birthday, Adam asked Kylie on their first official date—March 14th. They went to the movies, a simple but memorable outing that became even more significant when the theater shut down the very same day due to COVID-19. Just two days later, Adam just could not wait and told Kylie that he loved her.

The pandemic kept them closer than ever, as they spent the first year of their relationship at home due to lockdown restrictions, even taking online classes together. Throughout high school, Kylie and Adam were inseparable. Kylie was Adam's biggest supporter at his basketball games, even singing the national anthem at his senior night. They both had the honor of being President and Vice President of the Christian club, getting to share the gospel to their classmates every Thursday. They went to every school dance possible and enjoyed the Friday Night Lights as they cheered on their football team together. When it came time to choose colleges, the decision was easy—they would stick together and attend Grand Canyon University.

After graduating high school in 2022, they packed up their lives and moved to Arizona. Almost immediately, they were blessed with a wonderful community of friends and a church to call home, making the start of their new chapter together even sweeter.

At the tail end of their sophomore year in college, Adam proposed to Kylie and it was an easy yes! They both had been looking forward to that day for quite some time and it was one of the most joy filled and special days either of them had ever experienced.

Recently, Kylie and Adam bought their first home together in Arizona! They are so excited to make memories together in that home and host as many gatherings in it as possible.

They would not be who they are today without the grace, faithfulness and love of Jesus Christ. Adam and Kylie thank the Lord every day that they were blessed to meet one another and fall in love at such a young age. They both have grown immensely together and could not imagine where they would be without the other by their side. Their biggest desire is to glorify God through their marriage and spread the love, hope, joy, and freedom that He offers.
