There are about four different people who claim they set Adam and Ashley up, but we wanted to share the “true” story for everyone:

Ryan, Ashley’s Dad, was the one who truly first introduced Ashley to Adam, without Adam knowing he was being talked about. Oh man were Adam’s ears probably burning! To preface, Ryan is John and Kathy’s insurance agent and in December of 2023, Ryan met Adam. He knew Ashley wanted to find her person, but she could never find that one, since guys she had talked to over the last couple of years were all too immature and not to her liking. Then came along Adam’s name into conversation. Once Ryan said he found a nice guy for her, she knew he must’ve been something special! She asked her coworkers, since they were from around Woodsboro, if they knew an Adam Marshall, and to her surprise, they all knew him and absolutely loved him! Ashley was then talked into sending him a friend request on Facebook and eventually messaging him after a couple weeks. If you know Adam, you know he is super shy with that stuff, and Ashley can be a little bit impatient at times. So, Amanda Carr gave Ashley a slight push and drafted that first message for days. It was almost never sent because of Ashley’s nerves. It was finally sent, and Ashley was so scared that he wouldn’t respond that she left her phone in the house and didn’t look at it for hours. Adam thought he had been catfished, but Ashley just had three wagons of straw at the barn waiting for her to unload when she got home. After a couple of weeks of texting, with a couple of cow shows in between, they FINALLY went on their first date at now their favorite place, Oscar’s Alehouse. Ashley most definitely thought she intimated Adam so much she’d never hear from him again, which Adam very much disagrees to this day. They got cookies from Crumbl to round out the date and the rest is very much history now. We can’t wait to keep adding to our story and thank you all for being part of it on our wedding day!
