May 2024 they met in Bethel AK on a mission trip to demolish and rebuild the local church. They only spent five days together before Adam had to return to Texas for the summer. Even though they were across the country they decided to keep talking and that they would like to date. While Adam worked and Sarah traveled for mission trips around the world they continued to talk daily and planned the next time they'd get to meet and go on a first date!

In late July they both went on another mission trip to Bethel but this time to be counselors at a kids' summer camp. After a long week of serving the Lord and caring for the kids, they returned to Fairbanks together. They went on their first date in Anchorage AK during their layover! They got to spend a few days together in Fairbanks to recharge and introduce Adam to Sarah's Family. The next week Sarah got to fly to Texas to meet Adam's family.

Soon after, Adam returned to Anchorage for school and they made frequent drives back and forth to see each other. Over time they've grown to know and love each other more each and every day.

In early December Adam asked Sarah's parents for their blessing which they granted. On January 10th he popped the big question and she said YES!!
