We met in organized small groups during our Bible history class freshman year, where we were both too quiet to have any idea how cool the other person was. That changed on a Sunday night sophomore year when we both happened to be working on our Geography projects between the dorms where we stayed up the rest of the night talking. Since then, I have come to know Adam as the most loving and humble man I have ever met. He proposed at Minneopa State Park on February 8, 2025. That’s us!

Kendra and I met during freshman year during our Bible History class. We would break out into small groups occasionally, and she was in my small group. What I remember from that class is I rarely talked or shared my input, and the other people in our group didn't want to talk either, so oftentimes, it was Kendra who was made to talk. We had an interaction during our EFE 1 experience, where she helped me understand how to teach decoding in a better way than I was. But the big event that started the relationship was the all-nighter we pulled at the end of our sophomore year. We both had a project for World Regional Geography that was due the next day, and we had both procrastinated way too much. We talked each other's ears off that night, and when Kendra had finished her project and was about to go to bed, I "begged" her to stay. I was way too surprised when she actually did stay and chose to keep me company as I finished my project. From there, we started to talk more, went on walks, and sat at the lookout in Flandrau (all the things couples do at MLC). Many fun days later, I decided to propose to Kendra at the waterfall in Minneopa, where she said YES! The rest is history.
