We’re keeping our ceremony small and private, but we can’t wait to celebrate with you afterward! Please join us for the cocktail hour and our reception beginning at 4:00 p.m.   If there is inclement weather the day of the ceremony, please check the website for updates.   While we love your children, we kindly request an adults-only evening.   Please visit the Hotel page to book a room!

Our Wedding

We first met on a dating app, but the timing wasn’t quite right. Nathan thought Adam was a goofball for not using the sidewalk the first time we hung out, and Adam remembers thinking, Wow, this guy sure likes his broccoli. We went our separate ways… until a few years later. Fate (and mountain biking) brought us back together at a CITA, Central Iowa Trail Association, movie premiere. Nathan invited Adam to join him, and it turned into a surprisingly great evening. Adam even won a door prize. Afterward, we grabbed apps at Lucky Horse Beer &amp; Burgers and played a game to see how many animals we could spot in the bar. The final count? Over 30. Somewhere between the buffalo cauliflower and the beers, we both realized… this was actually a date. From there, our adventures took off with mountain biking, camping at Yellow River State Forest, running 5Ks and half marathons, road-tripping to Colorado, hiking in Utah and Idaho, and taking on the Goliath Gravel Grinder race in Decorah. We bonded over our love of the outdoors, our dogs (Rex and Stella), and the little quirks that make us laugh. Nate still loves broccoli and bourbon but hates being scared. Adam enjoys wine and volleyball, but does not enjoy having his feet tickled. Then came the 4th of July trip to Colorado, where Nathan had one thing on his mind: conquering a 14er together. We hiked Quandary Peak on a gorgeous but windy day, enjoying the views before heading back down. Just below the tree line, we stopped for a break. Adam was giving Stella some water when he turned around to see Nathan holding a ring. His first words? “You’ve had that with you this entire time??” Of course, the answer was yes. We’re so excited for the next chapter with more road trips, more mountain biking trails to discover, more camping trips with the dogs, and eventually a house with a yard for them to roam. It’s been an incredible ride so far, and we can’t wait to see what adventures and jumps are around the next corner.
