On October 3rd, 2023, Adam sent Brooklyn a Facebook friend request. She wasn’t particularly impressed by his profile pictures—but hesitantly she clicked “Accept.” Later that evening, at exactly 8:45 PM, Adam nervously sent her a message—and then immediately tossed his phone across the room. He had no idea that this would be the beginning of something beautiful.

Their conversation flowed effortlessly and never truly stopped. Adam decided it was time to upgrade from Facebook Messenger to actual texting. Smooth, right? Brooklyn thought so too… and gave him her brother’s number instead. (Classic move.) Laughing, she told Garrett, “I’m talking to someone new—I gave him your number as a joke. Let me know what you think!”

Apparently, Adam passed the test. Garrett must have seen what Brooklyn would soon realize: Adam was different. He handed over her real number, and with that, the spark between them began to grow.

Soon after, Adam asked Brooklyn out on their first date. Though still unsure, Brooklyn trusted that God was writing her story. On October 13th, 2023, they met at Rosati’s Pizza. Adam, a bundle of nerves, spent half the evening watching basketball just to stay calm. But when Brooklyn left that night, she couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something truly special about him.

On January 3rd, 2024, they made it official: they were boyfriend and girlfriend.

Fast forward one year later to January 4th, 2025, Brooklyn moved in with Adam. Their lives, once separate, were now beautifully intertwined.

Then, on August 5th, 2025, atop a breathtaking mountain overlooking Peyto Lake in Canada, Adam got down on one knee. With the wild beauty of nature all around them and the sky stretching wide above, he asked Brooklyn to be his forever. With happy tears in her eyes and joy overflowing, she said “Yes”—without hesitation. She knew, in the depths of her heart, that he was the one she was meant to spend the rest of her life with.

And now, on October 9th, 2026, surrounded by the majesty of the mountains and the people they love most, Adam and Brooklyn will begin the next chapter of their love story and say, “I do.”
