This is where our story starts! We began dating in high school - Adam was a senior and graduated in 2014. After graduation he went to basic training and then tech school for the rest of my junior year. During my senior year of high school he attended MATC for IT, but made sure to visit me almost every weekend!

I graduated high school and attended Viterbo University in La Crosse. Adam continued the even longer drive to La Crosse almost every weekend so that we could see each other.

At the end of my freshman year at Viterbo, Adam got deployed for 6 months in the middle east. During this time apart we continued to talk every day (as much as we could with an 8-hour time difference) and support each other through the tough times. Adam also gained an overseas best friend - a stray cat named Whiskers and all his fellow deployment buddies, while I leaned on my roommates and had fun at school!

Adam returned from his deployment and surprised me at my house! Little did he or Rachel (my roommate who had planned it all) know that when he walked into my room I'd be a mess. I was on my bed with pajamas on, a towel on my wet hair from the shower, and makeup all over my face that I hadn't gotten around to cleaning off yet - but it was still a surprise I'll never forget, and it was beyond perfect!

Adam moved to La Crosse to pursue his Bachelor's in IT at UW La Crosse. We enjoyed two years in La Crosse together finishing up our education, and of course having a few Oktoberfest beers along the way!

We adopted our favorite girl, Juniper! 😻

We both started our full-time careers at a local organization - Royal Bank. Fun fact here - Adam actually moved into my office while myself and the rest of our branding team moved into the Hillsboro office. This worked out well for me in the end, as we bought our first home together on the ridge outside of Hillsboro.

Adam proposed on top of Flag Staff Mountain in Boulder, CO after a weekend filled with huge amount of fun, love and laughter with our friends!
