Joe and Addie met at CrossFit Wildwood in 2016. Joe walked in with his buddy Cole and never left, training his days away with the OG crew as Addie was preparing for her CrossFit Games appearance as a teen. Although Joe was quiet and Addie was shy, their friendship began to form during long runs and Lucky's Market lunch dates. About a year later they made it official on January 8th, 2017. A few high school dances later and Addie was off to the University of Kansas to begin her college experience while Joe began his Associates degree at Wildwood Community College. They continued to date long distances until Joe joined Addie at KU to finish school.

During the next 3 years in Lawrence, KS, Addie and Joe met life long friends being embedded in the Kaw Valley CrossFit Community. Joe earned his Finance degree while being the head coach/manager of KVCF while Addie earned her bachelors degree in Accounting and Masters degree in Auditing. Not only were they students, Joe and Addie competed at the highest level of CrossFit together on a team qualifying for the CrossFit Games twice and competing at the CrossFit Games finishing 20th in the world in 2022.

Joe and Addie made their way back to St. Louis in 2023 to be with family and focus on their careers and relationship after competing. On March 9th, 2024 Joe and Addie went to breakfast and followed with a walk at Faust Park where Joe proposed to Addie at the historic Governors Mansion with friends and family to celebrate the special day.

They are very excited to have all their loved ones join in celebrating their marriage. Thank you to everyone who played a part in growing their relationship and loving them both.
