Nick and Addie’s journey began all the way back in seventh grade when Nick moved from South Carolina to Illinois. What started as an easy and natural friendship slowly grew into something deeper. On August 17, 2014, Nick officially asked Addie to be his girlfriend, and the beginning of their love story took shape.

From the very start, they connected over their shared love for sports, their close families, and the simple joy of spending time with friends. Both were dedicated athletes, and many of their earliest memories together involved cheering each other on at middle school and high school games. Their love for teamwork and competition laid a foundation that has supported their relationship through every season of life.

As the years went by, their relationship grew alongside them. They celebrated high school milestones side by side, encouraged one another through challenges, and celebrated achievements both big and small. A favorite memory from those years was being voted prom king and queen, a moment that reflected the support and friendship that surrounded them.

When it came time for college, they found themselves in different states for the first time. Nick headed to Green Bay, Wisconsin to continue his football career, while Addie pursued her nursing degree in Champaign, Illinois. Even with the miles between them, their commitment remained steady. Addie became a familiar face at Nick’s football games, cheering proudly with his mom, Dawn, and creating memories the three of them will always treasure. Those weekends on the road made their relationship stronger and showed them just how deeply they supported one another’s dreams.

One of the most meaningful chapters of their story took place on their annual trip to Hilton Head Island with Nick’s family. This trip had always been something they looked forward to, a tradition filled with sunshine, laughter, and a place that felt like a second home. On May 26, 2024, during a long walk on the beach, Nick knelt down and asked Addie to spend forever with him. It was the perfect moment in a place that already held so many memories, and it instantly became their most cherished one.

After nearly a decade of growing up together and building a life filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures, Nick and Addie feel incredibly grateful to have found their best friend so early. They are beyond excited to celebrate the beginning of their next chapter, surrounded by the family and friends who have supported and loved them every step of the way.
