We met at Camp Peniel, a Christian camp in Marble Falls, Texas during the Summer of 2022. We were counselors at the time where we served all summer teaching campers about the Gospel of Jesus while also teaching fun activities. We both were assigned many of the same jobs throughout the summer, and this is where we got to know each other more. We taught archery, swimming, and fishing classes together all summer and began to connect more each day. By the end of that summer, we both knew that we liked each other and wanted to pursue a relationship outside of camp. A week after camp had ended for the summer, we went on our first date. Matt came to Katy and I showed him all around. We started dating August of 2022 and have loved every moment together. Not only have we learned so much about each other but also about ourselves. We have learned so much about self-sacrifice, communication, and vulnerability, but most importantly, we have seen the Lord's hand in this relationship from the beginning.

Two years later, we are still doing long distance (LOL), but we are also planning for one of the most exciting events in our lives. We know the Lord is going to do big things in and through us as we come together as one.

Thanks be to God for this opportunity to love one another. We are so thankful for everyone who has poured into our relationship and we cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for us as we enter a new chapter of our lives.
