We first met in August of 2021 through Addie's brother who was also Garrett's roommate. After meeting, we joined a discipleship program at our church over nine months. During these nine months, we became close friends, fell in love, and starting dating in June of 2022 on a trip to Cape Town where during a walk down on old town street Garrett asked Addie to be his Girlfriend.

After we started dating, we began to share interests. Addie started going climbing with Garrett, and Garrett started learning Addie's. endless list of crafty hobbies, pottery, sewing, hosting, playing with her dog Lincoln, and shenanigans all across OKC.

Our friendship has always been the core of our relationship and we have been very blessed to have such an amazing community around us. Christ's love is the image of sacrifice that we share and bring into our wedding day as our aim. We have been attending Antioch community church throughout our relationship and have been blessed with amazing friends that have modeled what it means to be in Christ.

Garrett proposed to Addie in the winter of 2024 at a Christmas tree farm. He popped the question underneath a Christmas tree decorated with lights and many of the pictures above, although Addie was distracted by the bottle of champagne on ice underneath the tree before realizing that the tree we were meant to cut down was dedicated to her and our relationship over these unforgettable years.
