Our Wedding

Garrett and Addison’s story began after Karley Love, who went to high school with Garrett and was best friends with Addison in college, mentioned Addison’s name when Garrett asked her one night at a function if she had any “hot friends” to set him up with. Karley jokingly gave him Addison’s contact information, and Garrett reached out. But Addison engaged lightly often brushing him off, even “ghosting” him for weeks, as Garrett recalls.A few months later, Garrett found himself in Amarillo, where Addison was attending West Texas A&amp;M University nearby. He decided to formally ask her out on a date. When he arrived to pick her up, Addison wore a T-shirt and athletic shorts as she admits she was honestly just looking forward to good meal. However, as soon as the date began, she quickly realized she should have put in way more effort than she did given the instant “spark.” After dinner at Abuelos, they met up with some of their closest friends (who would later stand in their wedding party) and spent the rest of the night laughing, connecting over their mutual love of rock music, and the show The Office. After the night ended for everyone else, Garrett and Addison still couldn’t say goodbye. They stayed up the entire night driving around talking, getting to know each other, and eating Allsups burritos.Garrett a few dates later on admitted, “I wasn’t looking for anything serious until you got into my dang pickup.” The feeling was obviously mutual for them both and a few weeks later, they made it official, with Garrett driving hundreds of miles to see her nearly every week for the first two and half years of their relationship while he worked and Addison finished college.Four years later Garrett got down on one knee in Ruidoso, NM (where they will later be married) after planning an intimate and surprise proposal with Addison’s siblings while on a trip. The rest, as they say, is history.
