Addison's version:

I remember meeting Logan for the first time during our freshman year of high school. Sitting at the desk in front of his in our Honors English class, I first spoke to Logan while attempting to play the online game of Tetris for the first time. These first words to him came as a product of embarrassment, as I was confident Logan was watching me fail to win over my shoulder. I laughed and asked Logan for help with the game, to which he kindly and patiently responded: a shock to no one. This first encounter offered a glimpse into the type of love Logan would continue to so freely give me throughout the past seven years. A love that directly parallels the love described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.

Fast forward to our sophomore year of high school - I found myself spending more time around that really smart, blonde soccer player, and I soon began addressing him as my “best friend,” which is exactly what Logan will be to me for the rest of our lives. The more Logan and I learned about one another, the closer we grew, and the more our peers tried to convince us we weren’t just best friends. Well, those classmates were on to something, and now I get to call my high school sweetheart my future husband.

Logan is truly the best human being I have ever met, and he is everything I prayed to find in a husband. I knew he was the one at sixteen.

Logan's version:

Fall 2016, I was the new kid on the block. I had just transferred to Briarcrest and was completely out of my element. That year feels like a complete blur honestly, but I do remember one thing. I remember this pretty girl from Mrs. Williams’s English class who had never played Tetris in her life (which is insane, by the way). She was one of those girls you did not even bother talking to because she was so out of your league. Eventually, she asked for a little help on Tetris, and that was the first time I ever spoke to my future wife. Completely surreal thinking about that. Fast forward to sophomore year where I now shared half my class schedule with this girl. I went from having approximately two conversations with her to now spending half my day sitting next to her. Quickly, we became friends over the early morning speeches from Mrs. King-Barr’s class to the tutoring lessons from Mrs. Bennett’s chemistry class. The occasional “hey” from freshman year had now become daily FaceTime calls where we talked about all things life. She was my best friend, the one I could call whenever I needed anything. I knew then I could spend the rest of my life with her, and I finally took a chance at risking our friendship for a relationship. That one chance has now led to the best seven years of my life. Freshman year me would definitely be proud.
