Isaac and Addy met through Cru at Bismarck State College. One of their first interactions was in Minot, ND for Cru Winter Conference. They were oblivious to how their lives would intertwine but really enjoyed being around one another.

Isaac and Addy were both part of Cru's Leadership team, so the interactions became more frequent. However, the only thing they thought was growing was their friendship.

Isaac and Addy continued hanging out with their mutual group of friends and eventually realized they lived in the same apartment complex. They really enjoyed being around one another.

The couple planned several Cru events together because they shared a love for people and Jesus. They planned a hiking trip to Medora with a group of friends, and "gravitated toward each other the entire weekend", according to witnesses.

Isaac and Addy continued to hang out "as friends", but found themselves doing accidental triple dates. Their friends predicted an undeniable spark.

The couple was finally official on August 28, 2022. In October, the couple ventured to Cavalier, ND where Addy met Grandma Darlene, the only family member who meets her at eye level! After visiting the Watson family farm, the couple shared a kiss on the jumbotron at a UND hockey game. Isaac told Addy he loved her and she reciprocated when they returned to Bismarck.
