Traveling from the DMV Area - United Airlines has a direct flight from Dulles (IAD). American Airlines, JetBlue and Delta have flights from Reagan International (DCA) and Baltimore-Washington International (BWI).


ARRIVAL AIRPORT: CYRIL E. KING AIRPORT (STT)


St.Thomas is a US Territory so Passports are not required but ENCOURAGED if you would like to island hop over to the British Virgin Islands!

When you arrive at the airport in St. Thomas, there are Taxis there than can take you to your accommodations. Most Taxis will wait to leave until the entire car is full and there will be multiple stops to get to your destination.

If you have a large party and want to avoid stops, you can arrange for a private taxi or cab to drive you and your family. Plan this ahead of time, give them a cell phone # and your flight information and they will wait for you!

Be sure to bring cash as they are not equipped to take Credit Cards. Plan for around $25 per person (prices may vary a few dollars depending on where you are staying on the Island and how many bags you have!)

We recommend staying on the East End of the Island near The Ritz-Carlton. Places near Nazareth, Cabrita Point, Secret Harbour, and Red Hook are all within a close proximity!

Please note when leaving St. Thomas to travel back home, TSA suggests you arrive at the airport 2-3 hours in advance. You will need to go through U.S. Customs & Border Protection before going through TSA. Although not required, U.S. Customs & Border Protection highly recommend bringing a passport to speed up the process. They will accept U.S. driver's licenses if you do not have a passport.
