The story begins at Regions Field in August of 2021. Adeline was at a cheer event and Wesley was having a fall fraternity rush event. We met through a mutual friend that Wesley was catching up with and Adeline walks up but did not say anything, but she told our mutual friend that she thought Wesley was cute. Later that evening Adeline followed Wesley on Instagram.

The next day Wesley notices he has a follow request on Instagram from a Samford Cheerleader. He immediately reaches out to the mutual friend and asks if he should message her. The friend responded with "yes, she is expecting you to." So Wesley messages Adeline with "Hey, you're cute. I was wondering if I could maybe get your number? I never DM people but this is my best attempt." Clearly it worked, and Adeline gave him her number.

After texting for a few hours, Wesley invited Adeline on "the first date." This said first date was at the ATO fraternity house for a friend's 21st birthday. We joke about it still to this day and about how bad a first date it really was. So we later decided to plan dinner together at Maya Mexican Restaurant, but Wesley cancelled for another friend's birthday that he forgot about. We later ended up going to have dinner at Maya and now we eat there at least once a week.

After texting and hanging out, Wesley invited Adeline to a Zach Bryan concert at Avondale. Adeline had never even heard of Zach Bryan, but really liked Wesley so she went anyway. Adeline had cheer practice that ended up running later, but came with another friend she cheered with a little bit later. We are both glad Adeline ended up coming because we started dating officially later that night.

This was just the beginning of our lives together. As things progressed, we started doing everything together along with our two dogs, Beaux and Pickles. We are excited about what the future holds for us, and cannot wait for our wedding day.
