Our story started with both of us swiping on Facebook dating and we landed on each other (so romantic I know). We chatted on there for a few weeks before he finally asked for my number because he wanted to make sure I wasn’t a weirdo or anything (haha), and then still chatted for a little while before agreeing to go on a date. Being the gentleman that he is, he drove to Lubbock one weekend to take me to dinner and grab a drink! Of course, like any first date, we were both super nervous, but that wore off after we started chatting and figuring out all the things we had in common. After the date was over I told my best friend Allana (who was staying with me that weekend) that I was either going to marry this guy or it will be the worst heart break of my life. Luckily, it worked out in my favor.

After that first date, we started alternating weekends going back and forth to see each other from Lubbock to Sterling City. After 7 months, he proposed around my family during our Christmas, and we will be married in 2! Our story isn’t crazy or complex, but it is my favorite, and I thank God everyday I get to marry the man of my dreams!
