Aug&nbsp;2023 They&nbsp;had&nbsp;dinner&nbsp;at&nbsp;Baiju.&nbsp;Jeff&nbsp;quizzed&nbsp;Adee&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;songs&nbsp;that&nbsp;they&nbsp;played&nbsp;and&nbsp;Adee&nbsp;tried&nbsp;not&nbsp;to&nbsp;spill&nbsp;her&nbsp;food&nbsp;since&nbsp;her&nbsp;mouth&nbsp;was&nbsp;still&nbsp;numb&nbsp;from&nbsp;dental&nbsp;work&nbsp;earlier&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;day!

Nov&nbsp;2023 Adee&nbsp;met&nbsp;Jeff's&nbsp;parents!&nbsp;She&nbsp;brought&nbsp;chocolates&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;house&nbsp;plant. Jan&nbsp;2024 Jeff&nbsp;drove&nbsp;down&nbsp;with&nbsp;Adee&nbsp;to&nbsp;Calgary&nbsp;to&nbsp;meet&nbsp;her&nbsp;parents&nbsp;and&nbsp;sister.&nbsp;He&nbsp;brought&nbsp;yams!

2023-2024 They&nbsp;texted&nbsp;285&nbsp;times&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;first&nbsp;week&nbsp;of&nbsp;knowing&nbsp;each&nbsp;other&nbsp;and&nbsp;logged&nbsp;over&nbsp;400&nbsp;phone&nbsp;calls&nbsp;in&nbsp;our&nbsp;first&nbsp;year&nbsp;of&nbsp;getting&nbsp;to&nbsp;know&nbsp;each&nbsp;other.&nbsp;That's&nbsp;more&nbsp;than&nbsp;one&nbsp;phone&nbsp;call&nbsp;a&nbsp;day!

Along the way

Jan&nbsp;2025 Adee&nbsp;was&nbsp;scheduled&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;in&nbsp;Yellowknife,&nbsp;NWT&nbsp;for&nbsp;a&nbsp;month&nbsp;long&nbsp;work&nbsp;rotation&nbsp;and&nbsp;dreading&nbsp;the&nbsp;-40&nbsp;degree&nbsp;Celsius&nbsp;weather&nbsp;and&nbsp;isolation.&nbsp;But&nbsp;little&nbsp;did&nbsp;she&nbsp;know&nbsp;Jeff&nbsp;had&nbsp;a&nbsp;plan&nbsp;to&nbsp;make&nbsp;it&nbsp;all&nbsp;worthwhile.&nbsp;He&nbsp;proposed&nbsp;and&nbsp;she&nbsp;said&nbsp;YES!

Our Story

Adee and Kara met in first year of university and spontaneously agreed to be roommates the following school year that same night. 10 years in, Kara and Adee have logged many sleepovers, book recommendations, baking bonanzas, and late night dance parties. Many people get to have sisters biologically, but Adee is blessed to also have a soul sister!

Travis and Jeff have been best friends since Grade 8, bonding over wrestling, hockey, and long visits to the George family acreage. Jeff considers Travis’ family his own, having shared countless holidays and milestones with them. Known as TKG or MoneyManGeorge, Travis is a loving dad of three, a ball hockey goalie, and a board game fanatic.

Adee knows exactly how Kiki came to be in her life, she was an answered prayer. At 10 desperately longing for a sister, she made a pact with her brother to pray for one and pester her parents for one. Do not be fooled by her young face, she is a girl boss in the making, studying Law and Society at the University of Calgary this fall. The result is this charismatic, capable, compassionate young woman who she is honored to have at her side.

Jeff met Favour shortly after he started dating his sister. Despite being close to 10 years apart in age, Favour and Jeff quickly cultivated their friendship over YouTube essays, their intrigue for understanding people and psychology, and their love for movies (and anime now). He is the younger brother he's always wanted, even to the detriment of Adee, who constantly has to break them up from talking too much.

Adee and Rachel became fast friends during university. Despite both being from Calgary, they never seemed to be in the same city at the same time. Time has seen them through friendship covering distances as far as Cambodia, where she lived for 1.5 years while working for Engineering Ministries International. Rachel is a wise, loyal, reliable friend and always helpful in a pinch.

Taylor met Jeff in high school and quickly became an older-brother figure, teaching him everything from driving to procrastinating. Their friendship is rooted in humor, carpool karaoke, and years of playing hockey together. Taylor is the “glue guy” of Jeff’s friend group, and their bond remains strong—despite Jeff's constant teasing.

Adee and Ebby go back a long ways, back to 2010, shortly after Adee moved to Canada! They bonded over a shared crush, which passed but left behind a long lasting friendship. She's been there for countless awkward haircuts, friend drama, dance tutorials and karaoke nights. Years apart doesn't seem to have  dimmed this friendship, a fact that Adee is extremely grateful for.

Jeff and Khalil (famously or infamously known as Kill) met in high school, bonding after a heated debate in class. That spark turned into a deep friendship grounded in loyalty, respect, and shared passions like movies, sports, and especially fantasy football. Khalil remains one of Jeff’s most thoughtful and intellectually engaging friends.

Asha and Adee's friendship is a God given gift. They have walked through many of the same seasons together including surviving residency, online dating, planning a wedding, studying for exams, being bridesmaids in each other's wedding and lots of prayer.  They are looking forward to another milestone moment in their friendship.

David ("Davo" or "Granger") and Jeff knew each other in high school but grew close in their mid-twenties. Despite David’s busy early years, he made a consistent effort to connect—and Jeff matched it. Now, they're competitive in everything: sports, games, and banter. But beneath the rivalry lies a strong bond rooted in faith, friendship, and mutual respect.

Danielle made an impression on Adee by being one of the first people to welcome her to the Christian student group Power2Change. This impression remains spot on till this day; Danielle is easily one of the most generous friends Adee has. She has never met a stranger and her adventures around the world are filled with stories of such encounters. Adee could not be happier to have this amazing woman at her side.

Jeff and Adam (aka Berg or Bergy) became friends in Grade 12 over a history project. Despite their different interests—Adam, the athlete; Jeff, the artist—their shared competitive spirit brought them together. From gaming to gym sessions to ball hockey, they’ve always pushed each other. Berg is a loyal, driven friend who never turns down a chance to compete—or help.
