Jaden and Adri met at a New Year's Eve Party just an hour or two before the year 2023. Jaden had invited some friends over to his office building's event floor, and Adri, along with a handful of girlfriends, were party-hopping that night in hopes of finding the best place to celebrate the New Year.

Adri was introduced to several friends that night, one of them being Jaden, but it was nothing more than a passing hello that Adri quickly forgot about. She and her friends left after about 20 minutes to find a better party. Meanwhile, Jaden thought Adri was cute and wanted to see her again.

The next weekend, a mutual friend was DJing at a local bar. Adri brought her girlfriends again, and they gossiped in the bathroom about who the cutest boys were at the party. One friend told Adri that Jaden was rumored to be a great kisser and encouraged her to go flirt with him. The dance floor was crowded, and the lights were dim, but Adri found Jaden--she had never met a straight man with such impressive dance moves, and she was immediately enamored. After spending the entire evening talking and dancing and meeting some of Jaden's friends, it was time for the afterparty, so Adri turned to say goodbye.

One of her girlfriends stopped before they could walk away and told her, "This might be your last chance before you leave for Spain on your study abroad, so you'd better go back and give him a real goodbye." So Adri turned and gave Jaden a bashful peck on the lips. His face flushed as he promised to find her on Instagram and hoped to see her again before she left.

Little did she know that he would keep his promise and message her the next day. They spent the next four days doing everything they could to see each other before her semester abroad. On her last day in Utah, Jaden helped her load her bags into the car and kissed her goodbye.

3 months and thousands of overseas text messages later, Jaden pulled up to the Salt Lake City airport, where Adri was waiting for him with a big smile on her face, and they've been dating ever since.
