Adam and Adria met through mutual friends in June of 2020. At that time, everyone was getting pretty stir-crazy from Covid quarantine and friends decided to get together (outside) and have a cookout. On that hot summer day, Adam made his signature homemade margaritas, and the first move.

Adam and Adria quickly started their tradition of weekly Monday night date nights where Adam would cook an incredible dinner for two. Adam’s love language is cooking for others. And if you’ve ever had a meal prepared by him, you know how easy it would be to fall in love over the dinner table. The old cliche says the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, but clearly it worked on Adria too.

After a few months of dating Adria was introduced to the boys, Dean and Tucker. It felt like a scene from The Grinch as her heart grew three sizes that day. It also felt a bit like a scene from a horror movie because Adria thought tie dye would be a fun ice-breaking activity for two seven-year-olds.

In April 2022, Adria moved in with Adam and the boys in Pardeeville. Their family bond continued to flourish and grow with their relationship.

On August 27, 2022 Adam and Adria went on one of their favorite hikes to the top of Gibraltar Rock outside Lodi, WI. It was the first hike they had done as a family in late 2020, and it is where Adam asked Adria to be his wife.
