Q + A

What Should I Wear? Is There a Dress Code?

The wedding ceremony is formal, we kindly ask guests to dress in all black elevated evening wear. We recommend choosing footwear that's heel-friendly, i.e. wedges, block-heels, or flats. Heels are allowed but please take caution when walking on the property. The rest of the weekend is more relaxed -- think casual and cozy!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be outdoors. There will be heaters available.

What Will the weather be like?

October in Big Bear is crisp and cool, with daytime highs around 60 degrees and nighttime lows around 40 degrees. Since all events are outdoors, we recommend bringing a warm layer.

Where should we stay?

We've reserved individual cabins on a modern but campy property for all guests. More details on booking can be found on the "Travel" page.

Can we bring gifts to the wedding?

If you plan to purchase something from our registry, feel free to bring it with you or have it shipped to our home—whichever is easiest for you! Since the wedding is out of town, some items might be tricky to travel with, so sending them directly to our house is totally welcome and appreciated.

How do I get to Big bear?

Big Bear is about a 3 hour drive from Los Angeles. The nearest airport is San Bernardino International Airport (SBD) and Ontario International Airport (ONT), but LAX and John Wayne Airport (SNA) are also available. SBD is roughly a 1hr drive, ONT is roughly 1hr 20 minutes away from Big Bear

Will transportation be provided?

Guests will need to drive or carpool to Big Bear. Rideshares (Uber/Lyft) can be limited in the area/more expensive, so we recommend renting a car if needed.

Are there extra activities?

Yes! We'll have a movie night by the fire with s'mores, morning yoga, and access to canoes & bikes available at the lodge. Participate as much or as little as you'd like!

Do I have to attend every event?

Not at all! While we'd love to celebrate with you the entire weekend, feel free to join whichever events work for you. I've listed a few things to check out around Big Bear on the "Things to Do" page!

Can I bring a plus one?

If your invitation included a plus-one, they are more than welcome! If you're unsure, feel free to reach out.

Is there cell service/wifi?

Yes!
