According to Adriana, this dynamic duo met on June 14, 2018. On this day she went to help her parents at their concrete shop and would finally meet the mysterious man who was living in her parent's motor-home. The motor-home had been moved into town and this random guy had subsequently moved into it while she was off serving as a missionary in Nigeria. She stood there introducing herself to him when he informs her that they had met already. You see, Brock, being three years older, had remembered that they had met many moons ago out on Long Lake as little kids. His grandparents-in-law (to put it simply) live two doors down from Adriana's house and during summers growing up they would end up playing out on the lake together.

After well over a decade, and 23 countries having been traveled between the two of them things certainly had changed. Over two weeks passed of running into each other by "happenstance" on the lake, at church softball, and some Dairy Queen ice cream. These really weren't happenstance though. Brock was very intentionally finding ways to "run into" her, including spending hours waiting on a raft and even dragging his cousins to knock on her door. After those weeks, his intentions were becoming clear. As he was leaving one night she told him that if he had her number it would make it a lot easier to see each other. He agreed, they exchanged numbers, and he proceeded to text her every single day.

Brock didn't call it a date, but now in hindsight they say their first date happened on July 6. It was smashing success of a date to say the least, involving dinner, the world's largest ball of twine made by one man, and hours of star gazing. Then on July 13, he finally stammered through admitting to her that he liked her and wanted to see where this was heading. After much time spent together and many amazing dates they became an official couple on August 25 while walking along the Mississippi River. Falling in love is a different experience for each couple, but these two fell hard and fell fast. On February 19, he popped the question in a hospital room, which is a great story so if you want to know just ask the happy couple and you will hear it in full detail. For now the rest is history, and they plan to live happily ever after.
