Our Wedding

Our story begins on a cold December night in 2018 in Kansas City, MO. Aia and her roommate/best friend/bridesmaid Kinley decided to throw an ugly Christmas sweater party at their apartment. Aia remembers Kinley talking about her funny coworker, Adam, who she was hoping would make an appearance. Adam showed up wearing a sweater that said “Home Malone” with a photo of Post Malone as Kevin from Home Alone. Aia remembers thinking he was silly, charming, and very committed to the theme. Adam remembers meeting Aia in an equally tacky sweater that read “Jiggle My Bells.” The connection was instant.

Where it began...

A few weeks later, Aia ran into Adam at another Christmas party, which led to a night out in Westport. That night, they exchanged numbers—and the rest is history. Their connection felt natural and effortless. Weekend hangouts quickly turned into weeknight dates, concerts, and long conversations that made time feel irrelevant. They decided to take their first road trip together over Memorial Day weekend—a spontaneous adventure to Denver to see Disclosure at Red Rocks and to visit Aia’s younger brother, JT, at the Air Force Academy. Aia remembers how easy and fun it felt. There was never a moment of silence—just laughter, music, and conversation. They didn’t know it yet, but Denver would become a big part of their story. Later that summer, at the end of July, Adam asked Aia to make things official.

The early days...

Since July 2019, Adam and Aia have experienced many seasons of life together. They lived through the 2020 pandemic, moved from KC to Denver, made lasting connections with friends, hosted parties, explored Colorado, traveled around the U.S., snowboarded, attended Red Rocks shows, hiked, experimented with new gluten-free recipes, and built a life full of adventure. Through the years, their bond only deepened. They fell in love through shared passions—travel, music, snowboarding, hiking, cooking, and trying new foods. They built a partnership rooted in playfulness, friendship, and genuine support. Aia loves how Adam makes her feel seen, supported, and encouraged to dream big. Adam loves Aia’s passion, curiosity, and how she brings warmth and intention into everything they do. Their connection feels like yin and yang—equal parts grounding and uplifting, balancing each other in all the right ways.

Growing together...

On December 8th, 2023, Adam proposed to Aia at Sequoia National Park at the summit of Moro Rock. He surprised her with a romantic weekend getaway, and when they arrived early Friday morning, the park was completely empty. As they explored the viewpoints, Aia noticed Adam was unusually quiet (and Adam is rarely quiet). She suspected something was up but kept it to herself. At the top of an empty summit—with a glorious mountain view, bright blue sky, and fluffy clouds—Adam got down on one knee. They soaked in the moment alone, feeling the peaceful stillness around them. As they drove out of the park, a black bear crossed the road right in front of their car. Earlier that morning, Aia had told Adam she wanted to see a bear. It felt serendipitous—like the universe giving a little nod of approval. A day they will never forget.

An Unforgettable Moment...

Shortly after the proposal, Aia and Adam decided to do something spontaneous, wild, and unlike anything they've ever done. They quit their jobs and decided to travel the World! Beginning in January 2024, they commenced their journey spending six months in South America and six months in Southeast Asia—embracing new cultures, learning history, trying new foods, and experiencing the world together with curiosity and gratitude. This year of travel shaped their perspective on life, connection, and what it means to truly live with intention. Their wedding is an ode to their love, their journey, and their shared passion for exploring the world and honoring all cultures. It’s a core part of who they are and what they value.

A Journey Unlike Any Other...

They can’t wait for you to join their celebration—to share in their love story and experience a wedding that reflects their authentic selves, their adventures, and the beautiful balance they’ve found in each other. And getting married in July makes it all the more special. July 2019 was the month they made their relationship official, and now, years later, they get to come full circle and begin their marriage in the same month their love truly took flight.

We do not have any room blocks, but we encourage you to stay in downtown Golden; however, we understand your budget may not allow it. We have linked a few other hotels that are a short drive to downtown Golden. We also recommend checking out Airbnb and VRBO for larger groups.

This hike begins in North Golden, Colorado and takes you through 7 miles of wonderful views on a fairly easy hike up to the summit. Great for runs and extremely accessible for those staying in or around Golden, Colorado.

North Table Mountain Park West Trailhead

This is an amazing 4.2 mile hike that runs in a loop up and through the summit of Mount Galbraith, there are amazing views of Golden and Denver as well as the surrounding mountains. There is an 875 foot elevation gain throughout the trail and can have steeper inclines at times.
