FAQ

Wedding Day FAQ:

- The wedding will be kid-friendly. Approx. 5~ kids in total.

- The water that is being served at the wedding is safe to drink. Please do not bring plastic water bottles with you. - The venue is eco-friendly and does not allow single-use plastics such as water bottles. Please be considerate of this rule.

- Please don’t pull out your phones during the ceremony. We have a photographer. There will be plenty of picture time after we say our "I do's" during the reception.

Mexico // Travel // Accommodations FAQ:

- Our wedding venue does not have enough accommodations for everyone. We have created a list of Airbnb’s near our wedding venue. If you’re interested in booking a villa with a larger group, contact us to initiate a conversation so we can help coordinate with other guests.

-It’s likely that most of our group activities will originate near Zona Romantica. I’d recommend staying no further north than Marina Vallarta & no further south than Conchas Chinas to reduce your commute time.

ATM // FAQ:

- See detailed post here about Currency Exchange/ATM optionsIf you plan to get pesos out of ATM's while you are in Vallarta.

- Find an actual BANK’s ATM.

- ALWAYS DECLINE the offered conversion rate (your bank’s rate is better).

- AVOID Cashola ATMs. Card Skimming is far more likely to happen if you use Cashola, Unmarked Street ATM or Oxxo ATMs

- Prepare for small ATM withdrawal international fee (see your bank/card for specifics) (Generally under 3%, $5 but it depends on your bank)

- Many places accept credit cards, but not all of them do. We suggest having some pesos in your pocket at a minimum of 500 pesos/MXN, which equates to $30.

Apps// Transportation FAQ:

- You should download two apps for your phone for this trip!

-WhatsApp - There will be a group chat as we get closer to the date with all the wedding guests. The group chat will be an easy place to ask questions when you are there. Plus, businesses in the area use WhatsApp, so if you are trying to call around for...food reservations, massages, or hours of operation, this will be the best way to communicate.

- Uber is the easiest way to get around MX. It’s cheaper than in the US. Ubers are not allowed on the airport grounds, so After leaving customs, you exit left and follow the airport building to the end. There’s a bridge pathway across 20. Walk across that bridge pathway, and you can order an Uber. Watch these videos if you want to be prepared.

- Yellow taxies are also available but are cash-based and require Spanish speaking.

All things Resort FAQ:

- For the best service, tip your server when placing your first drink order. They are more motivated to take care of you first.

- Bring your insulated cups/tumbler/thermos to the bars; they will put your drink in this instead and keep it nice and cool.

- Bring a fun game (something that fits easily in your suitcase). We have the opportunity to play games by the pool.

- For people who do not stay in a resort… Most resorts offer day passes. It’s an all-inclusive day (food/alcohol/pool, gym & beach activities) without the overnight stay. Prices vary from $60-$150. Depending on the accommodations you choose for your trip, this could be an appealing day activity. Here is a link with options in the area. Puerto Vallarta, Mexico | SUPERPASS

- There will likely be lots of pool time, so don’t forget swimsuits, sun shirts, sun hats, sunblock, water toys, or swim goggles. If you forget sunblock, don’t buy it at a resort (3x markup). You can usually find it cheaper at a nearby pharmacy.
