We are a Tinder success story! We swiped right which led to our first date at the local Olive Garden in the summer of 2019. Just a Month later we officially became girlfriend and boyfriend, then covid hit and we went into quarantine together. During this time, we went on a lot of long walks discussing plans of traveling and buying a home together. In 2021 we purchased our first home together and started our journey of traveling the world together. I brought my dog Chico to live with us in the house, but he seemed lonely, so we decided to adopt our sweet pup Nacho in 2022.

We were celebrating our 4-year anniversary on August 3rd, 2023, when Jalen popped the question. It was a rainy day, and I could sense Jalen’s frustration with the weather not cooperating. We enjoy surprising each other on date nights, so he decided it would be a surprise date and I would find out when we arrive what the date entails. He drove us to Loose Park where he had a picnic set up with our pictures, flowers, and a box of food which included a smaller box inside holding the ring. That’s when he got on one knee and asked me to marry him.
