How we met
Our story began in June 2012. Not having any idea who this man was that just started talking to me at the gym, I decided to give him a chance. July 8th, we decided to go to one of the hottest Brewers games known to man. As we were leaving the game, Kyle gave me a little smirk and asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history.
It was August 2017 when Kyle and I found out about my diagnosis. I was diagnosed with Breast cancer at the age of 25. From the day I was told I had cancer to the day I beat it, Kyle was right by my side with his uncontrollable love and positive attitude. People say it's hard to stick together when times get tough but for us, our relationship grew so much stronger because of this terrible disease. We both saw a side of each other we didn't know was there. Needless to say, we wouldn't be the people we are today without one another.
The Engagement
December 31st, 2018 was the moment I was looking forward to all these years. We both had talked about marriage, but we were still trying to get our lives back to "normal" since my diagnosis. That Sunday, Kyle and I took my cousin Mandy to a very disappointing Packer Game. When I say disappointing game, I mean it. By halftime, the Packers did not score one single point.
Drinking and talking to the people around us we were having a good time despite the score. We decide to leave and head to some local bars around Green Bay, maybe that would cheer us up a bit. We were right by the end zone when we decided to take a group picture. After that Kyle and I took one alone. Kyle shouted and said look at the field! I quickly looked to see what had just happened but noticed the score had not changed. When I turned back around, Kyle was on one knee in front of everyone asking me to be his wife! Of course, I said YES!!! The number of people cheering for us definitely made up for the game we lost.
Everything leading up to that moment wasn't easy for us. We had our ups and downs. Our love was put to the test many times and we truly found out what being there for each other was all about.
We are so excited to share our special day with all of our family and friends!
Love,
Adrienne & Kyle
