Our Story

Getting to Vancouver Island

Option 1: Fly to airport in Nanaimo, arrange a cab or an uber to and from the airport. Option 2: Take a ferry with your vehicle from Tswassen Bay ferry terminal to Swartz Bay ferry terminal, drive to your stay. Option 3: Walk onto ferry from Tswassen Bay ferry terminal, walk off in Swartz Bay and arrange a cab or uber to and from the terminal.

NIGHT OF OUR WEDDING

Our venue does not have accommodation on site, and they are strict on the laws of drinking and driving. Drinking is not mandatory! However, if you’d like to partake, please check back here for info on transport options night of.

If you’re around on June 5th, please join us and our families for a casual get together the night before. There will be food and non-alcoholic beverages. 5-9pm.

The Night Before

If you’re able to stick around after our wedding, please join us and our families for a recovery brunch on Sunday, June 7th. Please let us know in your RSVP.

Whale Watching: Take a tour from the Inner Harbour to see marine life. Afternoon Tea: Enjoy a traditional afternoon tea at the Fairmont Empress Hotel. Legislative Assembly Tour: Take a free tour of the BC Parliament Buildings. Shopping: Explore downtown shops, Market Square, or Antique Row. Visit Miniature World: Explore the tiny, intricate dioramas in this unique museum. Royal BC Museum: Learn about British Columbia's natural and Indigenous history through life-like displays. Craigdarroch Castle: A historic Victorian mansion offering a glimpse into the past.

Parks and outdoor spaces 

Beacon Hill Park: A large public park with a children's farm, playgrounds, and scenic trails. Mount Douglas Park: Offers beautiful views of the city and the surrounding mountains. Thunderbird Park: Features totem poles and is located near the Royal BC Museum. Fisherman's Wharf: A vibrant area with colourful houseboats, seafood vendors, and restaurants.
