She had me from that first picture of a carrot hanging out of her mouth in the park. I thought it was a cheeto and I got very excited about her potential love for orange snacks as it matched mine perfectly. It took quite a long time for that first conversation to lead to an in person date, but it was well worth the wait. When I met her in front of her office, she had told me a different building so that she could sneak up on me and see if I was a creeper or not before saying "hi". That first date was incredible. We went all over the city and after we left Chow from dinner I pulled her aside and said, "Can I just get this over with and kiss you?" She was a little stunned, but agreed. Boom. In some ways after that first date, I never really left. We moved in together within 6 months and now have moved cities, jobs, lives, and everything to start our own in Sacramento. We can't wait to share our first day of togetherness with you on August 27th!

How we met - by Matthew

One Saturday morning we get up early, "We are going to Volcano to see the Daffodils" he says. "I think they closed 2 weeks ago?" - me. "Well we can still go try to get in, climb a fence or something" - Matt. "Yeah, why not!" - me. Knowing that there is no way we would be able to get it, but going along with it because I kinda know something is up. We take a beautiful drive out HWY 16 to Daffodil Hill and sure enough - its closed. And we can not under any circumstance get in. So we drive to the little town of Volcano to get sandwiches because its lunch time and we are hungry. We find a state park with lush grass, tall trees and the best name - "Grinding Rock State Park". We find a little bench in a field and sit to have our lunch. Matt SCARFS his sandwich down in 3 bites and before I'm done with the first half of mine, he takes my hand, says all these sweet things, (I was trying so hard to remember but totally forgot now) pulls out this gorgeous ring and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. I started to tear up and look around at everything so I could remember it forever.I also had a sandwich in my other hand.It was a great moment.And boom! now we are having a wedding!

Ward is Matthew’s future brother-in-law and is April’s husband.&nbsp; He lives in South Carolina with his wife and 2 children, Liam and Brian.&nbsp; He is into cycling and hiking and knows more about Star Wars than you have forgotten!

    Charlie and Matthew have known each other for 9 years.&nbsp; He lives and works in San Francisco, a city by a bay.&nbsp; He works for Rapha, a cycling apparel company based in England.&nbsp; He got me into cycling and his calves just don’t quit.

John and Matthew have known each other for 5 years.&nbsp; He has just recently moved to Sacramento with his wife Kristina.&nbsp; He works for Fed-Ex and plays tennis on the regular.&nbsp; He has recently started gentrifying a neighborhood and loves playing the flute.

I met Sara when we were in 5th grade. We might have  met playing Soccer, at summer camp or we might have been in the same class. Either way we managed to make a lasting friendship that has spanned over 20 years, many trips around the country (even France) and a load of B.S. ;D

Nicole and I grew up one town away in MI. We had mutual friends and knew most of the same people but did know either one existed until we met at a mutual friends Christmas Party back in Michigan in 2003. There we found out we lived off the same street in SF. We pretty much hung out all the time after that.

Black Chasm Cavern was designated a National Natural Landmark by the National Park Service in 1976 after being recommended by local members of the National Speleological Society, and as such is considered a "nationally significant natural area." Visitors to the cave are enchanted by the beauty of a wide variety of formations including stalactites, stalagmites, flow-stones and the vast arrays of rare helictite crystals, for which Black Chasm Cavern is justly famous.
