Q + A

What should I wear?

We are asking that our guests wear "semi-formal, or black-tie optional" attire, meaning that women should wear dresses longer in length (knee-length or longer); jumpsuits or pantsuits are also acceptable. Men should wear dress clothes preferably with ties, bow ties, or jackets, but otherwise acceptable without. We kindly ask that you please DO NOT wear shorts, jeans, t-shirts or colors commonly reserved for the bride, such as ivory and white.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

The ceremony starts at 5:30pm. Please plan accordingly to arrive before 5:15pm. Anyone arriving after the ceremony processional has begun (5:30pm) will not be allowed to enter until the ceremony has ended, due to safety precautions of our venue.

Where can I park?

The Aviary will be closed to the public at 5pm, so parking will be available for guests by 5pm (you can arrive and park before 5pm, however it is possible there will be Aviary customers still parked in the parking lot). There are roughly 60 spots in the Aviary parking lot, so plan to travel with people that you know so you are guaranteed a spot in the Aviary lot. The lot is immediately next to the Aviary, so the walk to the ceremony is short. There is additional street parking available in front of the Aviary and there is a parking garage 1 block from the Aviary as well. Please do not move cones or items blocking off spots, as they are reserved for bride/ groom, wedding party and older guests.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

As much as we would love for you to have photos of our day, we ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony because cell phones can block the shots of our photographer and videographer that we have so carefully considered when hiring. *All professional ceremony photos can be shared with guests.
