Where We Met
We met at Midland University in 2018. I was on the cheer team and he was a football player. We always had a crush on one another and would flirt a little here and there. Travis signed up to go to the military, we took our last picture together the night before he left for basic in Beegle Hall. We kept in contact over the years as friends, but God had more in store for us in the future!
Finding Each Other Again
In early 2023, Travis came back on leave as he was stationed in New Mexico. We got back to how close we were before without missing a beat. I was very hesitant on taking things to the next level, so friends we were, but Travis had other plans! Also shoutout to Brianna Buechler for pressuring me to say “yes” to going on a date with Travis. Where would we be without you? #BlessedByBri
Becoming A Couple!
For months, we were exclusive to eachother without the “title”. Travis asked me to be his girlfriend on a date in downtown Omaha on May 17th, 2023!
Long Distance
Having still being stationed in New Mexico, Travis and I spent months apart with only phone calls, facetimes, snapchats, and texts to keep in contact. 742 miles away from eachother for months on end, and only seeing eachother for a week or two when he got leave. I took my vacation in 2023 to go see him and Korra in New Mexico. The distance was hard but wasn’t anything we couldn’t get through!
Travis Coming Home
Travis transferred to Offutt Airforce Base in October of 2023. 2023 was a very trying year for us, I lost both of my Grandparents and Travis lost his sweet mother, Tammi. Having him home finally was so relieving and we helped comfort eachother immensely. God knew what He was doing when he brought us together when He did!
Growing As A Couple
Now that Travis was home, we got to experience way more things together! He got to know my family more, as I did his. I got to see Korra more and he got to see Cookie more too! We got our first house in May of 2024. We have been to weddings , road trips, got tattoos, and more together. Having Travis home makes me feel safe and secure.
Trials and Tribulations
Having both lost people who were very important to us, we grew closer together and closer to God. I know I can count on Travis to be there for me no matter what, and I know he feels the same about me! We are both so blessed to have found each other when we did, and even with all the hurt that has came, I wouldn’t change our story for the world.
HE PROPOSED!! 💍🕺
Travis proposed to me on the night of May 23rd, 2025! I was so shocked. I was under the impression that I was going to be taking pictures with my sister-in-law Sam and my sweet nephew Colter. I was not having the best day, didn’t feel confident in my makeup or outfit, just a meh day for me over all. That all changed when Sam, Colter, our photographer Emily, and I met in Fremont Nebraska at Fremont Lakes for our pictures. As we were walking towards the trees, around a bush, Travis popped out! I was so surprised! It started pouring rain when he got down on one knee. I was so shocked and excited i barely remember what he said to me! He told me he wanted to propose in Fremont because that is where we met. He then planned an after party with all of our close friends and family. It was the greatest day of my life! It couldn’t have been more perfect. Travis made every little detail of the day so perfect, and I am more than blessed to get to call him my fiancé.
