We crossed paths at a casual get together hosted by a mutual friend on October 16, 2020. As a card game began, we found ourselves sitting side by side. Friendly banter quickly turned into hours of conversation throughout the night. What started as a simple exchange quickly blossomed into a deep connection. This is our first photo together.

Our first summer together was spent with friends and family. Spending time at the lake, working our internships, and traveling back and forth from Kansas City to Palatine. As our first year together came to a close we looked forward to what the future and our last year of college had in-store!

We graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where Afton enjoyed a successful soccer career while earning her Bachelor's in Health Sciences with a Minor in Exercise Science. Meanwhile, Alexis excelled in softball while completing her Bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering. After graduation, we moved into our first apartment together in downtown Kansas City and began our careers. As we approached the end of our second year, we were thrilled to continue building our life together!

Year three started with moving to one of the suburbs of Kansas City, traveling out of the country for the first time together, and a summer full of hanging out with family and friends! We always love celebrating Halloween as it was one of our first weekends spending time together.

Year four has been the best one yet! We got engaged and had the best time celebrating with family and friends. A lot of our free time has been spent at concerts and sporting events cheering for both Kansas City and Chicago. As we are about to celebrate our fourth anniversary we were able to knock Ireland off our bucket list and are currently building our first home together.

Year five has been the busiest by far. We were able to go to Kauai, Hawaii and had an unbelievable experience. Lexi even got Afton in a doors off helicopter ride. We have just closed on our first house together and are having so much fun seeing our ideas come to life. Finally, we are looking forward to closing out the year with our wedding and celebrating with our friends and family!
