VAUGHN'S PERSPECTIVE It was October 2019, on a Friday night, Morris Brown College homecoming weekend. My friends and I decided to attend a mixer at one of Atlanta’s finest establishments “Grown Folks” located on the infamous Old National Highway in College Park, Ga. As we entered the club, I noticed a tall, sexy, slim dancing to my left. I said to my ace boy Jeff,&nbsp;“Damn that looks me like me right there”. He agreed. People don’t believe me when I tell them I am a very shy person. I was trying to figure out how to approach her. As fate would have it, I was leaving the bathroom and I saw her at the bar. I walked up and said, “You are too pretty to pay for your own drink”. I paid, she said thank you, and walked back to her table where her friends were sitting. Being in my shy moment I did not ask her for a name or number. Later on, a song came on that I’m assuming she liked. She came over grabbed my hand, and took me to the dance floor. We danced a few songs and she went back to her table. At this point, I still have no name or number. Finally, I walked over to her table, handed her my phone and she put her name and number in it. I texted her with my name and number. Now I know who the hell she is. Our first date was at Tom, Dick, and Hanks in College Park. Our second date was at Spondivits. I met her parents on New Year’s Day of 2020 and of course they loved me right away.&nbsp;She met my parents later that same month. My mother said she was so pleasant and really liked our interactions together. As they say, the rest is history.&nbsp; AGEENA'S PERSPECTIVE I remember October 11, 2019 like it was yesterday. I was just chilling at home with Zeus, my dog, watching my 600 pound life. (Zeus and I like that show because I get hungry and order pizza. He gets to eat the leftover crust). I got a call about 9pm from a friend that was feeling like she needed a girl’s night intervention. I was always up for girl’s night. I, myself, had been feeling like I wanted to give up on love and being loved. It wasn’t because I didn’t want love. I had just grown tired of being dragged around by cupid. Anyway, I got dressed in a pair of jean shorts that made my legs look longer, a pair of 4’ heels and a nice chiffon flower print blouse that accentuated my midriff (yeah, I was cute cute). It was a Friday night. Usually on Friday nights, I would go to my favorite old school club. On this particular night, my friend wanted to go to Grown Folks. It was Morris Brown College homecoming weekend and the club was packed. The mood was filled with positive energy. People were having a good time. I don’t usually drink the mixed drink specials because the liquor is usually cheap and it gets you drunk fast. However, I was feeling good and I headed to the bar to place my order when I heard someone say “A woman as beautiful as you shouldn’t be paying for her own drinks, order what you want and I got you”. Ok, so I slowly turn around because in my head I was thinking “the drinks aren’t but $2 and I can pay for that myself”, but I turned around to this guy looking over the top of his glasses (obviously checking me out) and smiling. I didn’t snap on him because he was cute. I just smiled and said thank you. Well, now you know I’m not about to drink a $2 drink, I looked at the bartender and said “you can change that to a top shelf margarita please and thank you. I danced with the guy that bought me the drink (Vaughn) a couple of times and I got this feeling about him. I don’t know how to explain it, but it was an unspoken chemistry. I told my friend “Girl, I just met my husband tonight”. Fast forward, we began dating and getting to know each other. There are things that happen in your life to let you know who your friends truly are. That also goes for relationships. Our relationship was tested in its infancy. Vaughn really didn’t know me like that to ride the wave of confusion that engulfed my life when we began this journey. This man became my backbone. He held me when I cried about things he didn’t understand, he embraced my children like they were his own, and he encouraged me to keep going when I had decided to give up. I believe in love at first sight, but the day I fell in love with him was the day he told me that my children were welcomed in his home for as long as they needed to be. That was the day I truly gave my heart to Vaughn Richardson. I prayed for someone that would love me with the same energy that I loved them, a man with a gentle spirit like my father, and a man that makes me feel safe just by his presence. I thank God for the blessings he has bestowed upon me by sending this man into my life. Always and forever, I love you Vaughn.

My baby sister, my heart and my guardian.  She thinks she's the boss of me. I swear she's been on this earth before her time, because she knows everything. There is not a day that goes by that I do not speak with her. She is my confidant, my ride-or-die, my accountant, my keeper and my BEST FRIEND. This lady is amazing and I couldn't think of life without her.

My oldest sister, she possesses a beautiful and caring spirit. She is a GOD fearing woman and is blessed beyond measure. She is truly irreplaceable.  Sometimes when you are present for everyone else you forget to be present for yourself. She is there for everyone and will give her last to make sure you're ok. This young lady is my SHERO. I love her unconditionally.

This lady here is my sister from another mother. She has been a constant in my life. If you've ever heard the phrase "I don't play the radio" then you know Katrina (look it up "play the radio" Urban Dictionary). She keeps it 100, 99.9% of the time, and has a heart of PURE GOLD, and this is why my life is so RICH!

God blessed me beyond belief when I met her father. She is one of the many blessings that came along with him and I am thankful. She is a beautiful young woman and I am excited to see her excel and thrive in this thing called life. I thank her for graciously becoming a part of my world.

I have known this young lady since kindergarten. She is and always has been a DIVA. She has a heart of gold, and because she was an only child, she is spoiled rotten. I love this crazy sis of mine, and I wouldn't trade her for the world.

This young lady epitomizes the phrase "an angel here on earth". She encompasses a spirit of warmth, love and caring. There is an aura around her and if you look closely you might be able to see her halo. She is a blessing to all that are fortunate to meet her acquaintance. I love her dearly.

This young lady may be my niece but she's so much like me I think she is a clone. I braided her hair for the first time when she was a year old, and she took to the trade like a pro. She is the sweetest girl with the smartest mouth, fashionista, trend setter, and go getter that I know. I love her like she was my very own (and she is).

This young lady here is a woman of a thousand words. She is feisty and has been a fighter since day one. I thought for the longest that we didn't have much in common, but as she grows into a woman she is more like me than I thought. She has the elegance and grace to articulate words that touches a person's soul. I play around with spoken word but she has mastered the art. Aside from that her nursing career is in it's infancy and is bound for greatness. I love her feistiness and the fight in her spirit.

This young lady is a daughter to me by another mother. She embraced me with her love from day one. I have been "Moms" since she welcomed me into her heart and into the life of her daughter. She has a very sensitive but fiery spirit and she brings joy to the heart of my son. I love her for the spunk in her spirit.

This young lady is truly a friend from the cradle. Our mothers were besties, pregnant with us, and we have been besties since the crib. No matter where life takes us, and no matter how much time passes since we last speak, we truly pick up the conversation where we left off. If you feel down and need a laugh, call Talette. If you are looking for sympathy, call Talette (cause sympathy you will not get, but you will get the raw honest truth). Life wouldn't be the same without her loving, crazy, and sho nuff personality. I love everything about my friend. (I know my friend), and I still love her.

This sweet young lady is everyone's sweet little Tuba. She's sensitive but sassy. She has the gentlest spirit and would give you the shirt off her back. Besides that, she's a Diva just like her Auntie. I love her to pieces.

This is my cute little chocolate bunny (because she sneaks chocolate from my candy dish).  She is so full of spirit and energy. She is always smiling and a blessing to be around. It's no doubt she is my little "GEM".

This young lady is my first grandblessing. She is an amazing child. She is full of potential and talent. God has put his arms around her and the sky is the limit. She is kind and the greatest big sister ever. She shares a birthday with her little sister but embraces their special day with GRACE. She has a protective spirit that has been ordained for GREATNESS. She is the APPLE of her Gi Gi's eyes and I love her dearly.

This young lady is a spitfire. She has an alluring and gentle personality. She never meets a stranger. She stole my heart from day one and I am proud to call her my granddaughter. She will always be my little JLoLo (because she can dance just like JLo).

This young man has stolen my heart in so many ways. He is my first grandson, my first real sidekick and my little friend. He is the born protector of his sisters and he holds that position seriously. I love the kind spirit of this young man and he's gonna make somebody's daughter an excellent husband (that is after his playboy days).

A Beautiful Spirit. This young lady is the calm to everyone's storm. She is the shiest, sweetest and almost the nicest person I know (but don't get her twisted). She has been a true sister since day one and I love her for just being her.
