We met our senior year at Cornell, when Emma visited Ahmed's Intergroup Dialogue Project class. We officially started dating in March 2017, just months before graduation!

After graduation, Ahmed moved to Oxford to study on the Rhodes Scholarship, while Emma moved to NYC to teach high school English. We traveled as much as possible during school breaks; our first international trip together was to DUBLIN!

During the summer of 2018, we did a classic young people's Europe trip, visiting five countries in 10 days, strung together by cheap Ryanair flights and stays at hostels with communal bedrooms. Here we are in Budapest!

One thing we love to do together is attend performances! Here we are at our first of many shows, the Radio City Christmas Spectacular!

We said goodbye to two years of long distance in June 2019 at Ahmed's Rhodes Going Down Dinner.

In July 2019, we moved to BOSTON together. In August, Ahmed entered the MD program at Harvard Medical School. Soon after, Emma started working at The Possible Zone, an education nonprofit!

In December 2019, we attended the men's Cornell-Harvard hockey game (Cornell won). Since then, we've continued to attend Cornell's away events when we can, including Cornell-Harvard hockey, basketball, and football games.

In January 2020, we attended the Lakers-Celtics game (Ahmed is a HUGE Lakers fan). We rocked one of Ahmed's first gifts to Emma from their early days of dating - matching Kobe Bryant Laker jerseys with Kobe's rookie year number on them.

Leaning in to our love of travel, we flew to San Diego in March 2021 to visit Ahmed's sister and brother-in-law and to see the Pacific Ocean!

In June 2022, we helped organize and attended our five year Cornell reunion!

On October 1, 2022, Ahmed took Emma back to ITHACA for what he said was a retirement party...instead, he proposed on the Cascadilla Gorge Trail just below Cornell's campus. Afterwards, we celebrated our engagement by walking back down to the Ithaca Commons for Apple Fest, Emma's favorite festival.

A new rite of passage - matching couple's costumes. In 2022, we dressed up as our favorite PB&J combo - Bonne Maman raspberry jam and Teddie smooth unsalted peanut butter.

In November 2022, we ran our first marathon in Philly. We'll both be running Chicago in October 2024!

In December 2022, we got to see Hadestown, just before Patrick Page stepped down from his role as Hades. It was truly unreal.

In March 2023, Ahmed matched into Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Three more years in Boston!

In May 2023, Ahmed graduated from Harvard Medical School, serving as Co-Moderator for his graduation ceremony.

Last summer, we packed up our apartment in Boston and moved across the Charles River to Cambridge. We now live in Kirkland House, one of Harvard's undergraduate residential houses, where we serve as Resident Tutors.

We closed out 2023 excited for our wedding year and for the chance to celebrate with all of our favorite people!
