Ironic as it is that we are having a dry wedding, our story starts with coffee and wine. Specifically, we started by exchanging photos of Catpuccino and Sauvignon, our lovely little kitties (Cappy not so little, but still).
After about 6 novellas worth of messages we decided to take a chance and ended up meeting at a Starbucks, and... it was closed due to understaffing during COVID. Whompwhomp :(
Fun fact: Kaela's an introvert and Aidan was super anxious, so there was a moment of silence as we individually debated rescheduling. Instead, Kaela (with all of the introverted energy in her body) suggested we go to Panera. Aidan (of course) agreed, so we hopped in her car and away we went.
We got sandwiches and coffee and started talking. We talked about ourselves, our friends and families, our dreams, and shared jokes until the noon sun was replaced by stars before we knew it. At the end of the night we parted ways, smiling like crazy.
Kaela reached out to her best friend to share that she had never smiled or laughed so hard in her life. Three days later saying that she was going to marry him. Three years later and here we are! 😁
It's crazy but we couldn't stop smiling after our conversation. We knew we had found what we had always wanted but weren't entirely sure it existed. Our person.
Since then we've supported each other through personal and career highs and lows, and we know without a shadow of a doubt:
We will love each other and grow together, unconditionally.
From the mountains in the winter to the beaches in the summer, coffee in the morning to wine in the evenings, and everything between I love every page of our story that is still being written. ❤️
