On the warm night of April 15, 2023, Emily and Aidan separately attended Bridgewater College's spring formal. Neither one of them wanted to go, but were ultimately convinced to attend by their friend groups.

Emily and Aidan had known each other for some time, but never had more than a few conversations during their classes together.

On the night of the formal, they spoke at the drink table for a moment before going their separate ways. Later on, the song "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran rang out from the speakers, and couples began to dance. At this moment, Emily and Aidan locked eyes, and Emily motioned at Aidan and back to herself to ask him to dance. Aidan checked behind him to see if she signaled for someone else, and realized she was indeed talking to him. Aidan happily agreed and made his way toward her.

The two held each other close and gazed into each other's eyes for the rest of the evening.

At the end of the night, Aidan walked Emily back to her car and sealed the evening with a kiss.

On May 10, 2023, Aidan asked Emily to officially be his girlfriend, and she happily accepted.

Since then, their love has blossomed into the greatest love each of them has ever known.

On February 9, 2025, Aidan asked Emily to marry him in the sunny Shenandoah Valley, where they fell in love.

Now, they count down the days to October 18, 2025, when they will finally be made one.
