Aiden and Macy met in Kindergarten at Jefferson Elementary. They were in the same class and spent many days before and after school playing together in Aiden's mom’s classroom. They were also part of the same playpark group and recall making a childhood pact to get married when they grew up.
As the years passed, Macy always had a quiet crush on Aiden. But Aiden, busy just being Aiden, never quite noticed. Macy even told her aunt during back-to-school night in third grade that she planned to marry Aiden—as she carefully chose the desk right next to his.
Throughout grade school, middle school, and high school, the two kept each other close, but it wasn’t until Macy turned 16—and was finally allowed to date (by her father’s rule)—that they officially began their journey as a couple.
They both ran cross country in highschool, coached by Aiden’s dad, Greg. In the early stages of their relationship, they served on mission trips together and discovered a shared love for travel—especially after a mission trip to Puerto Rico and a memorable visit to see Macy’s family in Vancouver, BC. They did everything your typical high school sweetheart couple would do and have many fond memories from those years.
After graduating, they made the difficult decision to pursue their educations in different states. Aiden moved West to Missoula, while Macy went South to the Black Hills. They spent the next few years FaceTiming and doing their best to prioritize each other. When Aiden transferred to NDSU to pursue Landscape Architecture, Macy decided to end the long-distance chapter and moved back to their home state so they could live together.
Along the way, Aiden and Macy have visited over 20 countries and always seem to have their next adventure in the works. In 2023, they purchased their first humble home in Fargo—and just two weeks later, welcomed Frankie Bean into their little family.
Although traveling and seeking new adventures is a big part of their relationship, Aiden and Macy also find great joy in life’s simple moments—like sharing a sweet treat or enjoying a quiet night in each other’s company.
It is with great excitement that these two lifelong friends step into the next phase of life—a life they know will be built together as partners, filled with joy, love, and grand adventures.
