In November of 2020, Aiden started working at Walmart as a self-checkout host where Theresa already worked as a cashier. As Theresa was in her senior year of high school, she mainly only worked the weekends, usually mornings, when Aiden conveniently also worked. This stranger (Aiden) started to tell Theresa "good morning." Theresa respectfully responded with a "good morning" while questioning why a coworker was so happy and talkative for a 7am shift. One weekend, Theresa was doing her favorite job at work: stocking the battery displays. Aiden, working at the self-checkout area near the battery display, started helping her stock the batteries (without knowing how OCD Theresa was). Progressively, they started talking to each other more, especially once Theresa was on winter break and was working more.

One day, they took their 15 minute break at the same time. Aiden pulled up his Snapchat to have another coworker add him. Theresa, thinking it was for her, quickly grabbed the phone to also add him on Snapchat. Their first snapchats to each other were on December 23, 2020, where Aiden said "Merry Christmas Eve" and Theresa had to correct him by saying it was "Merry Christmas Eve Eve." This began a friendship and communication throughout Theresa's winter break trip to Disney World with her sister. (I'm sure this sister now understands why I was on my phone so much in lines.) While at Harry Potter world at Universal Studios, Theresa discovered the appalling news that Aiden had never watched any Harry Potter movie and casually made a "we need to watch it" comment. A few weeks after Theresa got back from her trip, Aiden asked, "So when are we watching Harry Potter?" While Theresa did not expect this to actually happen, it was luckily MLK, Jr. weekend without school on Monday and both were off of work that Sunday, so Aiden came over to watch Harry Potter. They successfully made it through the first movie before realizing they did not have the second, but that did not stop them! They proceeded to spend the entire day together, playing Wii Sports, getting pizza, and getting Frozen Yogurt. The relationship soon started a few weeks later.
