Our Wedding

Aiden and Mikayla first started talking in May 2022 when half of their study abroad group got stuck in Paris. Luckily, they found their way to Italy, and with the help of some wine, they spent the next few weeks getting to know each other. Eventually, Aiden asked Mikayla on a date, and they spent the afternoon eating gelato by the river and exploring their favorite city on the trip.

Once they got back home, they went to dinner a week later and have been inseparable ever since. Some highlights of the last two years include attending concerts, camping at the Iowa State Fair, traveling to Scotland, spending time with family and friends, and making their home in the Des Moines area with their puppy, Bennie.

Aiden proposed on February 3, 2024 in Mikayla's hometown using a bottle of wine from one of the vineyards they visited in Italy.
