Steven and Aidens paths crossed in college at Northern Kentucky University. Aiden, studying nursing while working at the campus recreation center as a lifeguard. While going about a usual work and school day, Steven walked into the pool area needing to test his water-saving skills for the lifeguard job. Aiden was willing and able to be the “victim” in the pool for Steven to save to pass his test (he was cute and had muscles so of course I was going to volunteer). From that moment on, their friendship blossomed, working almost every shift together, growing stronger with each passing day. They shared countless stories making each shift pass too fast, even the 6 a.m. shifts we both loved working. Each day was filled with laughter and flirting. It got to the point we started coming in early for the shift or staying late just to spend more time together but just kept saying we had “homework”. One Halloween Aiden put little plastic spiders all over Steven’s computer, from then on, we both knew it was time to take it to the next level.


They realized that their friendship had transformed into something deeper. They took the leap and started dating, discovering a love that was both familiar and extraordinary. It was Superbowl LV, watching the game together, drinking jungle juice, and laughing. Steven knew it was time to take Aiden on a real dinner date. Agave and Rye it was. It was the best night neither of us wanted it to end.


Since then, together we have shared many adventures and many “I love you”. We moved into two apartments in two years to finally buy our first home together. Working out together almost daily (Steven is the best workout partner). Trips to Aiden’s hometown of Portsmouth were filled with lots of family time, pizza, and high school sports games. Cruising through the Caribbean on one of the best vacations ever. Many Saturdays were filled with college football in a house divided between Ohio State and UK. Many Sundays are spent on the couch watching Redzone and of course Bengals. After graduating, Steven and Aiden found themselves in great jobs that have provided many opportunities to grow. They have been there for each other cheering and supporting one another since the beginning. We would not want our life any other way. The love we share is unbreakable.


Now, as they stand on the threshold of forever, Steven and Aiden are excited to embark on their next great adventure: marriage. They cant wait to continue building a life filled with love, laughter, and endless support. Their story is a testament to the power of friendship, and they are thrilled to share their journey with all of their loved ones.
